Located in the eastern foothills of the Andes mountains, Mendoza is the ideal growing region for world-class Malbec. Mendoza is Argentina’s largest wine region, where more than 80% of the country’s top wines are produced. The combination of poor soils, unique desert climate and high altitude vineyards creates the perfect growing conditions for rich, full-flavored Malbec wines.
Primus Malbec comes primarily from the Pulenta Vistalba vineyards in Mendoza. At 3,200 feet in altitude and planted in 1948, these vineyards are among the highest and the oldest in Mendoza.
